FULL VIEW PLEASE OR ELSE YOU MAY MISS OUT ON MANY LITTLE DETAILS
Finally I've submitted this. About time too. I worked little by little on this over a couple of weeks, and here it is! I must say, I'm pretty proud of it! I like how it doesn't have any outlines, it's eaiser than having outlines, in my opinion. And yeah, I kinda went haywire with it, giving it much more than I originally planned. You see, I only wanted to practice making 'fur' with my tablet, but it blossomed into this. It was only supposed to be the red dragon...but then the little hummingbird dragon came..and the grass...and the moon..and the tree...and so on and so forth. OH, and during a full moon, it CAN be that bright.
I know I messed up the perspective, but it was fun. I hope you guys like it!
I think you did an excellent job with this! I love the texture and the shading that you've put in here, especially with the fur. You may think that it doesn't look that good, the fur, but I really like it. The grass was also beautifully done; all of those details really add a lot into the picture. Your design of the dragons are also very unique and interesting to look at; how they're cute and furry, not evil and demonic-looking. The realistic shine and color of the eyes do a lot for the dragons; it makes them come to life more and it gives them a more innocent expression. The various textures and values on the moon add body to it instead of looking like a whitish circle in the sky. The red of the dragon against the green grass and yellow of the other dragon against the purple of the night make for nice complementary colors (I absolutley love using comp. colors). I guess the only thing I have to say about it in terms of improvement is that there's too many bright colors for this to be during night. I mean, they look nice, but during the night, colors are very toned down and dark. The hummingbird dragon is exempt from this rule because it's generating its own light, but for the rest, the colors should be a lot more toned down. Other than that, everything else looks great. Keep it up!

Hehe, it's very cute and detailed, that's for sure .. I also like the setting as you can imagine, for some reason I'm into darker pictures that play with light a little, and your drawing just does that quite a bit. There is only one major nitpick I could find, and that's not really a flaw, since I wouldn't know how to possibly make it different - it's the colour of the red creature, being bright red and kind of clashing with the bright green of the grass, making the grass look a tad stainy around the character's tail. Not that the red is a bad idea, I know it's a hard thing to draw, especially in the night, so it doesn't look agressive but rather soft, as it does in your work .. so well done on that.
Apart from that, the details are amazing and definitely show you have a good grasp of what you're doing - the grass does not merely appear bright and dark green, you have also added yellow and orange-red tones to it, which adds a great deal of realism - let's face it, grass isn't just a couple of green shades, there are always a few straws that show a slightly different colour, and especially in the background, together with the light emerging from the yellow character, it might just very well appear in yellow and golden shades as well.
The little water-snail is another good idea and cute detail - it also looks very realistic just as well, with the little waves around it, and being slightly under water (except for its eyes ). One thing that might look a tad strange is the reflection of the mood in the water - I would expect it to spread a lot more in the waves, and not showing such a distinct and sharp .. shape, you know what I mean? Especially in wavy waters, it'd look distorted and affecting a larger area in the water as well. The thaw on the grass is an adorable detail too .. iiiit looks a bit more realistic to the left though, way at the right it appears to be slightly dull, but that could me just me. Oooh, and one more thing .. the eye on the red character looks just a tad like it's pasted on it, with glue - maybe a few hairs from its fur being over it would help here (not too many though ). The middle branch appears to get thick a bit too fast, but everything else about them looks fine .. the little speckles in the sky could very well be small leaves or dust and such, falling down in the wind, and the rest of the background is just as filled with fantasy, be it the flowers catching the water in their leaves, or the entrance to the trunk with the lights (that appear either to be plants themselves, or little fireflies sitting there), ooor the mushrooms - no idea what the black dragon-like creature is looking at, buuut it definitely doesn't seem to be distracted even a bit by what happens behind its back.
Thanks a bunch for the detail comment, Toby! Muchly appreciated! Heh, you're TOTALLy right on everything. I didn't even notice many of this mistakes, until you came up and told me. The eye DOES look like it's pasted on..almost makes me want to laugh at it everytime I see it now. I think the red technically was a flaw..since, I should have remembered that red and green clash..well..at least in OC anyways. I agree with the reflection..I knew something was weird with it, but I couldn't pin point it. Oh, those aren't dew drops on the grass, it was supposed to be...er..supposed to be light reflecting off of the mushrooms..but it looks too bulgy to be lighting..so ugh..dew it is! The branch, I agree with too, if it were that thick in the beginning, it'd be like..a as big as the tree by the time it reaches it bough..heh, didn't notice that, thanks!
tnaks so much for the awsome critiques Toby, they made me laugh.
Wow this is beautiful OoO! I like how it looks like one of those pretty glistening nights..it looks so peaceful and x33. this is a definite fav..oh and you drew the fur really good ^-^.
Ohhh, woah!! the Full View is SOOO much more different than the smaller pic!
The detail's amazing, it must have taken you quite a while to do the fur of the red dragon... and the mushrooms look so yummy XD
I aspecially like the tree, the color's really soft, and the flowers are also pretty!!
I wonder what's that thingie in the water o.o oooohhh! Curiousity! >.>.... didn't it kill the cat!? ^^
I can't believe I just faved this instead of actually spending the time of telling you how fabulous this is. I guess right now I feel like doing it... Sometimes I want to, but can't. Meh. So anyway... dude! I looked at the full view, and I was pretty stunned by all the details. It's so beautiful, it honestly is. And yeah, I can overlook whatever flaws you point out... Because no matter what you say, this truly rocks. And like someone before me said, yeah, I'd seriously bash you upside the head if you weren't proud of this. Well, maybe I wouldn't, but I probably be like, "WHAT?" You know. So... Fantastic work. Faving it was an understatement.

Heh, don't worry about forcing yourself to comment or anything. Or even faving for that matter. I'm just displaying my art, not looking for glory. Anyways, thanks a bunch for your comment. It made me smile. Yes, I AM very proud of this, even though I wished I could have spent more time on the starry sky..buuuut I guess the simple dots will have to suffice. XD Thanks again!
im bad at coloring! this is so cool
